About

I joined the University of Utah as an Assistant Professor in September 2023. I received my Ph.D. training in Biostatistics with Dr. Joseph W. Hogan, at the Department of Biostatistics at Brown University. I received my postdoc training with Dr. Scott Zeger at the Bloomberg School of Public Health, Department of Biostatistics and Dr. Zheyu Wang at the School of Medicine, Division of Biostatistics and Bioinformatics of Oncology, at the Johns Hopkins University.

Research interests

My research work has the overarching theme of developing novel statistical ensemble learning and causal inference methods with applications to electronic health records to investigate epidemiological and clinical problems related to public health policies and clinical practices. My work has primarily focused on causal inference, Bayesian latent variable models, ensemble methods, and longitudinal data analysis, with applications in infectious and chronic diseases such as HIV, Scleroderma, Alzheimer’s disease, and SARS-CoV-2.
